TASTE OF SIAMLocated on Camden High Street near Mornington Crescent underground station, Taste of Siam is operated by Thai people and Thai chefs, striving to serve authentic Thai food to both dine-in and takeaway customers. Our extensive menu offers both Thai street food and regional food, prepared by our highly experienced chefs. We use the best possible ingredients and unique blends of herbs and spices.
We started our journey in 1992 with our original restaurant (at 45 Camden High Street) when Thai cuisine had not yet emerged as a popular cuisine in London. After many years promoting Thai food, we saw an opportunity to open one of the first oriental supermarkets in the Camden area in 2005 (47 Camden High Street) which has been offering south-east Asian produce which our restaurant kitchen also uses. In 2009, we opened up another shop (41-43 Camden High Street) and started serving hotpot which has since been a popular choice for both Thai and local people alike.
For Thai people, hotpot is extremely popular because of its power of bringing family and friends together. The ‘hotpot’ is placed in the centre of the table, filled with soup stock in which your choice of fresh ingredients are cooked in. A hot and spicy dipping sauce is an unmissable accompaniment to this meal.
If hotpot doesn’t take your fancy, you can enjoy the authentic taste of Thailand in our contemporary and relaxing restaurant. Our friendly staff are happy to help you choose from our carefully selected menu. Choose from a variety of different flavours from all regions of Thailand. “Som tam” papaya salad spicy meaty fishes from the North surely packs a punch, or how about seafood dishes from the South like “tom yum” soup, or red, green and massaman curries from the central of Thailand. We also serve a wide variety of Thai street food and stir fries including “kai kratiam” chicken stir-fried with crispy garlic and black pepper, “pad kra praw” Thai basil and chilli stir-fry and “pad si ew” rice noodles fried with egg, fresh vegetables and soya sauce. We offer a variety of vegetarian dishes too!
We try our best to cater to all our customers’ tastes. If you require a dish to be mild or would like it “Thai style” (very hot!), our Thai chefs will be happy to adjust the flavours to suit you.
Our dishes can be paired with a great selection of Thai beers and wines that complements all levels of spice and flavours.
